Undefeated Apparel

The Project

The running joke at University of the Arts was that they were “undefeated” in every sport; however the truth is more interesting.

At one point, two of the colleges that would eventually merge into University of the Arts played a football game against one another. One team lost and the other won so when they merged they called it even and claimed undefeated status. It also helped that they had no sports teams moving forward.

The idea for this project was to move away from the blue football helmet that had dominated the apparel landscape for decades and move to a more universal—and brand appropriate—design. I opted for a classic red pennant while marketing wanted to utilize a circular “stamp” of text to match similar a style being used for marketing materials at the time.
