Retail Website Redesign

The Project

One of the fundamentals of retail is having an engaging, and functional, website. Originally the UArts Store website ran on three separate platforms—not exactly ideal for cost effectiveness and efficiency. Eventually a new, web-based platform took it’s place but it still lacked necessary functions; specifically an adaptable mobile platform. While a majority of students make purchases using a laptop, most parents—the primary purchasers—use mobile devices (tablets and phones). Without a functional and user-friendly mobile site we were losing about 32%-47% of potential revenue from frustrated parents.

After a two years of UX testing I had built the following UI in order to address the inadequacies of the current system. Unfortunately we were unable to implement the changes with the university’s closure.
