Fourteenth Street Magazine
The Project
One of my earlier freelance works. I was asked to do some illustrations for the Spring 2015 issue of Fourteenth Street Magazine — the print publication issue being sponsored by Temple’s Journalism Department.
The original request was two images: Ben Franklin and an illustration for the cover article. Within the next three hours my work — plus two additional editorial assets — was off to be printed. It was a quick turnaround and I barely had any time to make edits, but I felt accomplished. Unfortunately, much of what I sent had been heavily edited in the published edition.
From start to finish this project was full of mishaps, stumbles, and plenty of miscommunication; but I keep this one around as a reminder of the lessons I learned and the process that needs to be addressed throughout every project.
